Hailing from Merthyr Tydfil in the Welsh valleys, Arwel and Dan Reed, father and son, share a passion for spice.

Arwels curries are renowned amongst family, friends and the locals, and his closely guarded secret mix of spices keep the masses returning.

Having grown up with a curry-maker in the family, Dan's exposure to spices began at an early age, and has developed into a compulsive desire to all things hot, all of the time. In one form or another, chillies feature in most meals, from breakfast to supper... snacks included!

At Chilli of the Valley, they grow a variey of chillies, from the mild to the hot and onto the extreme. These include the more common types like Jalapeno, Scotch Bonnets and Habaneros, to the lesser known Aribibi Gusano, Rocotos,Peruvian Ajis and the superhot Trinidad Scorpions, 7 pots, Bhut Jolokias, and the current world record holder - the Carolina Reaper, to name but a few.

Their sauces are made in small home made batches, using fresh ingredients, and chillies grown by them in Wales. Wherever possible they source their ingredients locally, and try to keep their carbon footprint as low as possible.

Chilli of the Valley - Merthyrstershire 150ml

A chilli based Worcester style sauce, adapted from Australian Extreme Chilli Condiments RC Burner, and made with plum jam from A Bit of a Pickle.

Unlike other brands, this is also 100% vegan (we don't use anchovies)  

Named with a nod to their beloved hometown, this spicy table sauce is great added to stews, casseroles, soups and stir frys. Splash all over your cheese on toast or perk up any Bloody Mary.

Chilli of the Valley - Smokey BBQ Rub 150g

This is a smokey, mildly spiced, dry rub.

Ideal for making pulled pork, enhancing meats, casseroles and stews. Can be used as a taco seasoning, or sprinkle over your potato wedges… you can even add it to your baked beans!

Chilli of the Valley - Black Garlic Nuggets 50g

Black Garlic is taking the Western world by storm.

Slowly fermenting garlic caramelises the sugars within, which in turn turns the cloves to a deep, dark, brown or black colour. Distinctive flavours of soy and balsamic and a rich mushroom aroma means that using black garlic in place of normal white garlic gives your meal an extra depth of flavour.

Bursting with antioxidants, black garlic is a must have ingredient in every kitchen.  These cloves have been pre-peeled for you and guarantee a minimum of 50g of delicious sticky sweet and savoury goodness.
